Chennai: On June 11th, the star-studded sangeet ceremony of the famous south stars Ram Charan Teja and Upasana Kamineni happened and post the sangeet ceremony, the couple proceeded along with their respective families to the Shiva temple (which has a 400 years old history) in Domakonda fort on June 12th so that the marriage rituals could commence. Ravishing Upasana was clad with Kanjivaram sari and she hit the space at 11 a.m. and performed a special Rudrabhishekam that took place in an hour-long ceremony.
Ram Charan Teja was accompanied by his star father Chiranjeevi and Upasana came along with grandfather Uma Pathi and her father Anil Kamineni. Post the ceremony, Upasana got taken to the gates of the fort by a procession and then later on she joined in Ram. The couple was then taken away by Ram’s father Chiranjevi in a vehicle.
The Sangeet Ceremony of the couple had begun at around 8 p.m. and it lasted till 4 a.m. in the morning. One of the guests of the ceremony told that there were more than 800 guests at the event. Among the guests, Ram Charan Teja’s Zanjeer’s director Apoorva Lakhia and the film’s producer Shabina Khan too came in to adorn the wedding.
The arrangements were done at three banquet halls which were adorned like true film sets. The food served consisted of Chinese, Hyderabadi Continental and Italian cuisines. People loved eating the scrumptious food. Charan’s colleagues specially came in to embellish the ceremony.
Allu Arun and Rana Daggubatti hosted the ceremony and they danced on various Telugu hit numbers. Top leading babes of Telugu cinema came and they danced on Katrina Kaif’s Chikni Chameli song.
The super highlight of the function was the dancing of the couple – Ramcharan Teja and Upasana on the romantic song ‘Tujhe Dekha To Yeh Jana Sanam’ from the movie Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.
